Introduction

Welcome to Oneline. We are a platform designed from the ground up with one non-negotiable principle: your privacy is not a feature, it's the foundation.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it (minimally), and what we don't collect (your identity). By using Oneline, you agree to the practices described in this document.

The short version: You don't have an account. We don't know who you are. We don't want to know. Your public posts vanish after 72 hours. Private posts never leave your device. That's it.

What We Collect

Unlike most platforms, Oneline collects almost nothing about you.

What we do NOT collect:

  • Your name, email address, or phone number
  • Your location or IP address (permanently linked to your posts)
  • Demographic information of any kind
  • Device fingerprints or persistent identifiers tied to your identity
  • Browsing history, behavioral patterns, or usage profiles

What we collect minimally and temporarily:

  • Anonymous session identifiers (randomly generated, not tied to any person)
  • Standard server logs for security and abuse prevention (retained for max 30 days)
  • Aggregate, anonymized usage metrics (e.g., total posts per day — no individual tracking)
No account = no profile. Since you never create an account, there is no "you" in our system. There's no profile to delete, no data to export, because we have none linked to a person.

Your Posts

When you write and publish a public post on Oneline, the content of that post is stored on our servers solely for the purpose of displaying it to other users during its 72-hour window.

Each public post is associated with a randomly generated, temporary ghost handle (e.g., "Ghost #4821"). This handle:

  • Is generated fresh for each session — it is not persistent across sessions
  • Cannot be used to identify you as a person
  • Is not stored alongside any IP address or device identifier

Post content is stored in encrypted form on our servers while active. Once the 72-hour countdown expires, the content is permanently deleted through an automated process.

The 72-Hour Deletion Policy

Every public post on Oneline has an expiration time of exactly 72 hours from the moment it's posted. This is not a soft delete or archive — it's permanent removal.

When a post is deleted at 72 hours: The content is permanently removed from our active databases, removed from all user feeds and discovery surfaces, and not retained in any backup, archive, or cold storage tied to specific posts.

We operate on a rolling deletion cycle. Our systems check for expired posts every hour and permanently remove them. After this process runs, the post content does not exist anywhere in our infrastructure.

We do not offer — and cannot provide — post recovery after deletion. Once a post is gone, it's gone.

Private Posts

Private posts in Oneline are a device-local feature. When you write a post in Private mode:

  • The content is stored exclusively on your device's local storage
  • It is never transmitted to our servers
  • It is not subject to the 72-hour deletion rule (it persists until you delete it)
  • It is not visible to anyone else under any circumstances
  • We have zero access to it — we literally cannot see it

If you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or switch devices, private posts will be lost. Since they are not backed up to our servers, we cannot recover them.

Cookies & Tracking

Oneline uses a minimal cookie policy:

  • Session cookies: Used only to maintain your temporary anonymous session during a visit. Cleared when you close the browser.
  • No tracking cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics or advertising tracking.
  • No persistent fingerprinting: We do not use device fingerprinting, canvas fingerprinting, or any technique designed to identify you across sessions.

We use no third-party advertising scripts or marketing tracking tools on our platform.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not trade or barter any user information.

The very limited technical data we process may be shared with:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and server operations — under strict data processing agreements)
  • Law enforcement — only when required by law, court order, or to prevent imminent harm. Given we collect no personal data, any such request would yield minimal information.
Important: Because we collect no personally identifiable information, even in the event of a legal request, we have extremely limited data to share. We cannot identify who wrote a post.

Children's Privacy

Oneline is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Since we collect no personal information from any user, we have no mechanism to verify age. We rely on users to comply with this requirement. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child is misusing Oneline, please contact us.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA). However, since Oneline does not collect personal data linked to identifiable individuals, most of these rights are satisfied by design:

  • Right to access: We hold no data tied to your identity.
  • Right to deletion: Public posts are automatically deleted at 72 hours. Private posts are local to your device.
  • Right to portability: No personal data is held by us to export.
  • Right to object: We don't process personal data for profiling or marketing.

If you have a specific concern or request, please contact us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll provide a visible notice on the app or website.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Oneline after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Terms of Use

By accessing or using Oneline, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Oneline to:

  • Post content that is illegal under applicable law
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other individuals
  • Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content
  • Post content involving minors in sexual contexts
  • Impersonate specific real individuals in harmful ways
  • Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of our platform

Content Responsibility

While Oneline provides anonymous posting, you are still responsible for the content you post. Anonymity is a shield for privacy — not a license for harm.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice. We may also ban sessions that engage in repeated harmful behavior.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Oneline is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the platform will be error-free. We are not liable for any loss of content resulting from server issues or the 72-hour deletion process.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oneline and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
